Whatcom Museum puts on open house for 75th Anniversary

On Thursday, August 11, the Whatcom Museum will open its doors from noon to 8 p.m. free of charge in celebration of its 75th anniversary. Sponsored by Peoples Bank, the day will include a variety of activities, including exhibition and building tours, art activities for adults and children and a sidewalk chalk contest.

“The Whatcom Museum is proud to celebrate this milestone anniversary,” Executive Director Patricia Leach in a press release. “We are committed to continuing the legacy of providing art and history to the community for the next 75 years.”

Whatcom Museum’s three buildings include the Lightcatcher Building, 250 Flora Street, Old City Hall, 121 Prospect Street, and the Syre Education Center, 201 Prospect Street.
