The public is invited to attend more than 200 Whatcom County open houses April 28-29 during Realtor Nationwide Open House Weekend.
The Whatcom County Association of Realtors will feature houses and condominiums for sale throughout the county. The open houses are listed at www.WhatcomOpens.com.
“This is an ideal opportunity for people interested in buying a home now or later,” said Rozy Olson, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Bain in Bellingham and a member of WCAR’s open-house committee. “They can view multiple properties in a short amount of time, learn what affects their value and determine the features they most desire in their home.”
Virtually every Whatcom County open house will have a Realtor present who can answer questions about the property and offer information about financing options.
“Given today’s low interest rates and historic affordability, more people are looking into owning a home rather than renting,” Olson said. “Home ownership builds long-term value while providing comfort and stability.”
