Whatcom Women in Business announces new executive board

The Whatcom Women in Business has elected its new 2016 executive board.

Jamie Smeall, human resources administrator at Avenue Bread, has been elected president. Tally Rabatin, co-owner of Cosmic Comics, will serve as past president, while Renee Aase, operations manager and retail operations lead at Bank of the Pacific, has been elected as the organization’s treasurer.

In other appointments, Cathy Campbell, owner of Sirius Medical Billing, has been elected as vice president of membership. Bridgett Reeves, Women’s Ministries manager with the Agape Home of the Lighthouse Mission, has been elected secretary. Nicole Burdick, financial adviser at Waddell & Reed, will serve as this year’s webmaster, and Diane Padys, owner of Diane Padys Photography, has been elected VP of programs.

Trudy Shuravloff, executive director at Whatcom Dream, will serve as member liaison, while Natalie Ransom, events manager with Crave Catering, has been elected as vice president of publicity.

Lisa Chovil, senior sales director at Mary Kay Cosmetics, will chair the 34th Annual Professional Woman of the Year program. Brenda Bringhurst, real estate loan officer at Heritage Bank, will chair the Sponsorship program.
