The Whatcom Young Professionals, an adjunct to the Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce, hosts a bowling tournament Friday, June 22 to benefit three local charities.
In its sixth year, the “Buzz Off” charity event will raise funds for the Assistance League’s Operation School Bell program, Community in Schools of Whatcom County
and Ferndale Community Service Cooperative.
“The annual WYPs Buzz Off is a great way for our membership to interact and network in a fun environment while supporting great local charities,” said Tally Rabatin, event organizer, in a press release. “Over the last five years, Whatcom Young Professionals has given more than $30,000 to local charities in our community, and we hope to continue to grow that number this year.”
Community members interested in bowling for one of the charities are invited to participate, and can register by visiting www.bellinghamwyps.com.
The cost is $25, and the event takes place at 20th Century Bowl in Bellingham.
Sponsors for the event include Nooksack River Casino, Silver Reef Casino, Audio Innovations, Continuous Motion, Whidbey Island Bank, Chic Living by ToU, Skagit State Bank, Cosmic Comics, Poppes 360, Comcast Business Class and American Family Insurance.
