Wood Stone Corporation, a Bellingham-based manufacturer of pizza ovens, is one of four Washington companies featured in a new online video campaign to encourage businesses to expand into international markets.
The campaign is part of the Washington Export Initiative, which launched in June. It highlights four Washington companies that are currently exporting goods.
“We’ve gone straight to the source — the Washington businesses that are flourishing as exporters — and we asked them to share their success stories,” Rogers Weed, the director for the Washington State Department of Commerce, said in a press release. “Exporting is central to our economic recovery and there are many resources available to help businesses start exporting or to expand to new markets.”
Besides Wood Stone, the campaign also features: Stemilt Growers of Wenatchee, Seattle software company Swype, and advanced materials producer Janicki Industries of Sedro Woolley. Each 2-minute profile features commentary by key employees involved in export and “rules of the road” advice on the best way to capitalize on export opportunities.
