Woods Coffee re-released its Viking Blend, which supports Western Washington University scholarships.
One dollar from every 12-ounce bag of Viking Blend coffee, a fair trade certified dark roast coffee from Central and South America, goes toward university scholarships.
“It doesn’t get any better than supporting students who want to go to WWU by enjoying coffee,” Woods owner Wes Herman said in a press release.
Woods first partnered with the Western Alumni Association to fund scholarships with Viking Blend coffee in 2009. The program went on hiatus when Woods began roasting all its own coffee early this year.
On Wednesdays, customers who bring their own reusable mug while wearing WWU clothing to any Woods Coffee location will get a free cup of Viking Blend coffee.
