Due to weather-related delay, the new Woods Coffee shop on the corner of Lakeway Drive and King Street in Bellingham will officially open on Tuesday, March 19, not on Monday, March 18, as the company had announced earlier this week.
Recent heavy rains and wind have prevented Woods Coffee from painting parking stripes in the new location’s parking lot and receiving a final inspection in time for the initial March 18 opening date, said Ryan Pemberton, a company publicist, via email.
Pemberton said everything should be in order for the new location to open on Tuesday, March 19.
The Lakeway shop will be the 14th Woods Coffee location to open in Whatcom County since the Lynden-based company was founded in 2002.
