Work Opportunities, a local nonprofit organization that provides job-search support for people with disabilities, will host an open house event from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, at 192 E. Bakerview Road, Suite 202.
The event will celebrate Work Opportunities recent move into The Balcos Business Center, its first brick-and-mortar location since the organization started “virtual office” operations in Bellingham in 2007. Work Opportunities was founded in Lynnwood in 1963.
The nonprofit serves individuals with disabilities by identifying participants’ job skills and matching those skills with the needs of area businesses to create meaningful employment opportunities that benefit local business, new employees and the community, according to press release from the organization.
The open house will include snacks and refreshments. Work Opportunities staff and community partners will also be available to answer questions.
