WWU business advisor to speak in Point Roberts on Monday, Aug. 17.

Debra Lee, business advisor with Western Washington University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC), will speak at the Point Roberts Taxpayers Association Meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug.17 at the Point Roberts Community Center, according to a press release from Western.

The event is free and open to the public.

Lee will discuss the free, one-on-one advisory services that her program offers to to people starting or building a small business.

Western Washington University’s Small Business Development Center is part of the most comprehensive small-business alliance in the U.S., with more than 1,000 active SBDC programs across the country. Western Washington University’s SBDC receives support from the U.S. Small Business Administration, Whatcom County, the Port of Bellingham, and the City of Bellingham.
