Western Washington University’s Extended Education will offer a “Project Management Crash Course” this spring. The course will have evening sessions and be open to students, staff, faculty and the community.
The five-week course focuses on developing skills and techniques to aid in project management and prepare students for their project management certification exam through the Project Management Institute, according to a press release from the university.
Information sessions will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11 at the Bellingham Public Library and 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 2 in Communications Facility Room 316 on Western’s campus. The class starts on April 14 and continues every Tuesday through May 12.
The course is an interactive combination of lecture, small group activities and discussion of real life projects. The program will cover the basic practices, processes, methodologies and policies that all project managers should know.
Instructor Robin Halliday is a certified project management professional with more than 25 years of experience. She has worked in software development, network services and operations and facility moves, according to the news release.
