WWU finds new director of admissions

Cezar O. Mesquita has been selected as the new director of the office of admissions at Western Washington University.

He will start at WWU on Nov. 1. He is currently the director of admissions at the University of Idaho.

He will succeed Assistant Vice President of Enrollment and Student Services Clara Capron, who has been filling the admissions role until a permanent director was found.

Mesquita will oversee undergraduate admissions. He has a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of Nebraska and a master’s degree in Latin American studies from the University of Alabama. He has extensive experience in the admissions departments at other colleges and universities.
