Western Washington University’s College of Business and Economics will host Steven Windell for its Strategic Management Executive Strategy Speaker Series from 3-4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, in Communications Facility 115.
Windell has focused his business career, which has spanned more than 48 years, on business turnarounds or startups with emphasis on the human factor and fact-based decision making.
He served as CFO for R.W. Beck and Associates, where his responsibilities included accounting, finance, information systems, human resources and risk management. He also has held positions with Touche Ross and Boise Cascade.
Currently, Windell is on the board of directors of GeoEngineers, Inc. He also serves as CFO and board member of BIS Consulting LLC.
Windell is a graduate of Whitman College and holds an master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago, with concentrations in accounting and statistics.
The Strategic Management Executive Strategy Speaker Series brings senior business leaders to campus to interact with students and share their perspectives on strategic management, leadership and professional development.
It is presented by the business college’s Center for Excellence in Management Education.
