Western Washington University’s library system is giving away surplus maps and atlases as it consolidates its map collection.
The giveaway event will be from noon to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16, and Wednesday, Oct. 17, on the fourth floor of WWU’s Wilson Library.
Since the maps were received through depository or similar arrangements, the university cannot sell them.
The library’s collection is located in Room 170 of Wilson Library. It is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays through Thursday.
The collection contains more than 100,000 maps, many focused on areas in the Pacific Northwest.
For more information, contact Map Collection staff at 360-650-3272 or at mapcollection@wwu.edu.
