Western Washington University is one of the best colleges in the nation to work for, according to a new survey by The Chronicle of Higher Education.
The results, released in The Chronicle’s sixth annual report on The Academic Workplace, are based on a survey of more than 44,000 employees at 300 colleges and universities.
WWU, which now has been honored three years in a row, is the only four-year university in Washington state recognized this year as one of the best colleges in the nation to work for. Highline Community College in Des Moines, Wash., was also recognized.
The university is Bellingham’s largest public-sector employer, with more than 2,100 employees.
Results of the survey are available online.
