Western Washington University Extended Education will offer an evening professional studies course, open to community members, to help build skills in writing and editing.
The “Knockout Editing” course will allow participants to learn developmental editing techniques and have their work reviewed and evaluated by writer and editor Laurel Leigh.
The course will also provide tips for defining audience, shaping the text and honing creative prowess so each participant can knock out a polished draft.
Classes will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. each Thursday from May 23 to June 13, in WWU’s Communications Facility.
An information session about the course will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 6, at Village Books in Fairhaven.
