A team made up of students from Western Washington University, Whatcom Community College, and community volunteers will offer free tax help from Feb. 2 through April 15 at Parks Hall 336 on Western’s campus and in Whatcom Community College’s Heiner Library.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program will be open on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Parks Hall 336, with the exception of the school’s intersession closure dates from March 13 to 29.

Whatcom’s site in Heiner Library will operate on Mondays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon and 1:30p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Western’s Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Society sponsors the program in cooperation with the Internal Revenue Service, according to a press release.
