Zombies raise $1K for Blue Skies for Children

Fairhaven Fitness at the Bellingham Tennis Club raised $1,000 for the local nonprofit Blue Skies for Children during its annual Halloween Thriller performances.

For a fee, Fairhaven Fitness provides lessons for Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” dance, the public performance of which has become a Halloween tradition in Bellingham for the past several years.

Half of the money raised covers expenses for the annual performance in Fairhaven, and the other half is donated.

This year, the “zombies” raised $500, which was matched by Fairhaven Fitness for a total donation of $1,000.

Over the past four years, the event—known as “Thrillingham”—has raised $4,500 for Blue Skies for Children.

A behind-the-scenes look at the 2009 performance is posted on the Bellingham Tennis Club’s YouTube page.
